Soul Asylum Joins Minnesota Wild Foundation Benefit Album

For 16 seasons, hockey fans have proudly sung along with the State of Hockey Anthem, a staple of the game night experience for the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center. This winter the Wild have partnered with local artists to create the State of Hockey Anthem Project, with performers serving up tracks of the popular anthem with their own musical signature. Proceeds from sales of these new tracks will benefit the Minnesota Wild Foundation. The Wild are proud to partner on this project with the Olson Agency of Minneapolis, whose founder, John Olson, penned the State of Hockey Anthem in 2000.

The Wild have partnered up with PledgeMusic, a direct-to-fan platform that will bring together the team, the participating artists & all of their respective fans. You can pre-order any of the items & experiences listed below – keep an eye out as new things will be added throughout the 2016-2017 season! Every purchase will include a digital download of the album, which will be delivered sometime in 2017.

As a thank you for purchasing here, you’ll get instant access to a private section of this site (via the ‘AccessPass’). Here, you’ll be able hear tracks from the upcoming album, see video interviews with your favorite Wild players, go behind the scenes at the Xcel Energy Center and much, much more. Think of it as a special way to say ‘thanks’ for your support!

The Minnesota Wild Foundation exists to support the game of hockey and to improve the lives of families in the State of Hockey.

The Minnesota Wild Foundation, with help from Wild players, supports pediatric medical causes by hosting events like “Wild About Children”. In addition, the Minnesota Wild Foundation has assisted several 501©3 organizations fundraise through an in-arena Split the Pot Raffle. The Split the Pot Raffle allows designated non-profits to hold a raffle during a Minnesota Wild home game with the proceeds split between the winning ticket buyer and the non-profit. The Minnesota Wild Foundation serves as the largest non-member funding source for Minnesota Hockey and provides fundraising opportunities for youth hockey associations across the state.

100% of all money raised will go to The Minnesota Wild Foundation.
