Cool, innovative, expressive, thrilling, and flat-out groovy come to mind when describing Chicago-based Roommate’s third album, Guilty Rainbow.

The solo career attempt of singer/songwriter Kent Lambert beginning in 2000, Roommate evolved into more, featuring an interchanging cast of band members before finally finding the right balance with their current quartet. A quartet that isn’t only novel, it’s absolutely provocative.

Fueled by smooth, sexy vocals and utilizing such instruments as a keytar, vibraphone, autoharp, Buchla Music Easel – even a Gameboy makes a brief appearance – Guilty Rainbow takes both progressive and traditional, molding it into a totally new breed in the electronica kingdom.
