Short Bio (in your own words):
Band of weirdo beardos from nowhere, singing sad songs to bad people.

What was the first live concert you ever went to?
I want to say it was the Gypsy Kings, but I was an infant, so I could be wrong. Let’s say it was Metallica.

What is your funniest or worst tour experience?
I think I get why people always ask for funny tour stories. But “worst”? That’s a new one. Since you asked: One time we played a show in Canton, Ohio which is one of these impoverished, former industrial hubs where the hopelessness is so thick you can cut it with a knife… convenient because everybody is carrying one. A kind and generous local offered her apartment for us to crash afterward. She told us about her functional addiction to heroin, which had resulted from a childhood accident wherein her spine had been crushed by a sledgehammer, and the addiction to painkillers that followed. She had three kids, but they were at their dad’s for the weekend… they had split up because he wouldn’t stop beating her up in front of them. He now lived across the street. We ended up having to leave around 5am… Her face went white as a ghost as she told us that her boyfriend was coming over, and that he wouldn’t like the idea of five strange men sleeping on her floor. Apparently, he was also an abuser. We thought about trying to intervene, but in those cases the victim usually bears the brunt of any retaliation. I think about her every once in a while. We’re so privileged to be able to get in that van and drive away from places like that. Not everyone has that option.

What THREE things are a must have when you go on tour or play a show?
Instruments, shoes, potable water. Actually Dave doesn’t play the drums with shoes on.

What was the first record you ever purchased?
Let’s say it was Metallica.

If you had to record an EP of covers, which FIVE songs/artist would make the cut?
Struggling not to say Metallica, so let’s say Megadeth instead.

What’s your preferred music format – vinyl, CD, digital, cassette – and why?
Digital is definitely the easiest for me.

What is your website and do you have a music video to share?
