Parachute Mind

Jack Johnson and Matt Kearney fans, rejoice: finally, an unnecessary, yet comparable artist has arrived, bringing with him an arsenal of sugary sweet numbers driven by acoustic guitar and semi decent vocals. And, if you don’t believe me, give everyBoy’s Parachute Mind a listen and close your eyes during tracks such as “L.U.V.” and “Barks Too Much.”  It may surprise you to find that what you’re hearing is, in fact, a completely different artist.

Just be sure to open your eyes again for the quasi offensive “Ego Solo,” a track I’m sure was meant to be taken as tongue-in-cheek but comes off as a jackass lamenting his being underappreciated. Or better yet, skip the album altogether: there’s nothing here we really haven’t heard before.
